If you’re a homeowner, chances are that at some point you will need to make decisions about a driveway, front stoop, or foundation for an addition to your home. If you’re not in the construction industry, these decisions can be overwhelming, which is why we’ve included a few items to consider when thinking about concrete. Remember, the more you know, the better able to make concrete decisions about your home and family’s future.
1. Environment
In addition to being more cost efficient than asphalt, a concrete driveway may be more desirable given the climate and terrain. These environmental factors will also determine the thickness of the concrete, usually 4 – 6 inches with a minimum #3 rebar. Your consultant/contractor, such as an expert at Wright Construction, will consider what must be done to ensure adequate drainage and resistance to wear.
2. Aesthetics

Perhaps, you would like to choose a coloration that compliments your exterior homesiding. There are also decorative inlays and tile-effects to choose from. Consult with a representative at Wright Construction about the choice that’s right for you.
